THE SCIENTIFIC CAREER IN SPAIN (EURAXESS Event) Events Regulations by paandruc - 24 January, 202326 January, 20230 Last Tuesday 24/01/2023 the UPV participated in the event "The scientific career in Spain" organised by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) together with the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the Ministry of Universities organised at the Carlos III University. The aim of the event was to present the novelties of the Law on Science, Technology and Innovation (LCTI) and the Organic Law of the University System (LOSU) in this field. In addition, the role of the EURAXESS network in supporting researcher mobility was reviewed and the document "Researcher career path in Spain at a glance (6th edition)" was presented.

EURAXESS-Spain Conference 2022 Events by paandruc - 14 December, 202218 January, 20230 The EURAXESS 2022 conference organized by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and the Network of Valencian Universities (RUVID) was held in Valencia on December 13, 2022. UPV participated in the event with an agenda that included topics such as: benefits of the HRS4R, good practices in the implementation of the HRS4R, the reform of the LCTI and the Plan for attracting and retaining scientific and innovative talent. This biannual conference is a forum in which the members of the EURAXESS-Spain network share practices and resolve doubts about new developments in human resources that facilitate the mobility and professional development of research personnel. HRS4R at the Welcome Day for PhD students 2022 Events by paandruc - 23 November, 202218 January, 20230 On November 21 the Welcome Day for PhD students organized by PIAE+ was held at the UPV. The in-person session took place in the Auditorium of the blue cube of the CPI and then, in the annex hall, there was a fair with all the UPV services for the new doctoral students to get to know them. The stand of the Vice-Rectorate for Research was attended by the staff of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers, the R&D and Innovation Management Office and the Office of Research Programmes. I UPV Research Awards Events Milestones by paandruc - 11 November, 202211 November, 20220 The UPV recognizes its most outstanding staff in the I edition of the Research Awards The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) has awarded 20 prizes to different researchers belonging to the academic institution itself, in the framework of the I edition of the UPV Research Awards. The awards gala took place in the Nexus building of the Vera campus, with the presence of the rector of the UPV, José E. Capilla, and the president of the Social Council, Monica Bragado, among other authorities and representatives of the UPV. These awards are also part of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R), recognized by the "Seal of Excellence in Human Resources in Research". UPV at la Nit Mediterrànea de les Investigadores Events Milestones by paandruc - 2 October, 20222 October, 20220 (European Researchers’ Night) On Friday, September 30, the city of Valencia joined others in the Mediterranean arc such as Orihuela, Torrevieja, Alicante, Castellón, Messina, Lesbos, Nicosia and Istanbul to celebrate the Nit Mediterrània de les Investigadores, a great science outreach event associated with the European Researchers’ Night. Throughout the day, research staff from the entities that organize this activity offered the attendees, primary and secondary school students in the morning and the general public in the afternoon, workshops and talks to bring science closer to Valencian society, within the framework of the Museum of Sciences of the Turia capital. In Valencia, the activities are organized by the European projects Mednight and Mednight GTS, formed by the CSIC in the Valencian Community; the INCLIVA
