Embassy of France – Scientific calls for 2022

The French Embassy in Spain has announced the opening of two scientific calls for the year 2022. They will be open until June 24, 2022. Call for doctoral and postdoctoral scholarships: • These scholarships serve exclusively to finance mobility to France, within the framework of a research stay for doctoral or postdoctoral students enrolled in a Spanish higher education or research center (and not enrolled in France). Call for scientific projects for confirmed researchers: The projects must contribute to the framework of a Franco-Spanish collaboration. The grants awarded serve to finance the publication of scientific articles, mobilities, the purchase of research material, the organization or participation in scientific events (seminars, conferences, congresses, study days, etc.) More details and the documents necessary to apply are available

Exposition Futuritat la vida dels materials (Futurity the life of materials)

Futuritat: la vida dels materials is an exhibition about design with biomaterials and how to produce them, as well as new materials developed in the UPV laboratories, highlighting the links between art, science, engineering, and innovation. Through all of them we will find clues to tell us about the life of the materials and our own before the horizon of the future. Save the date! ERC Proposal Reading Days at the UPV

The Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology FECYT, organizes the second edition of the "ERC Reading Days" where the reading of ERC (European Research Council) proposals financed in previous calls (2014-2021) will be carried out. In addition, a practical talk will be given with suggestions and tips for requesting an ERC. Vice-Rectorate for Research at the UPV Employment Forum

On May 11 and 12, the UPV Employment Forum was held. The staff of the Vice-Rectorate for Research was available during the two days of the event in the Red Events Room to inform the participants about the opportunities for developing a research career at our university. We encourage you to consult the page of the Researcher Career Development Unit whose objective is to support all facets of a researcher's career, including training, tutoring, professional guidance and human resource management.

HRS4R at the UPV Employment Forum

The UPV Employment Forum will celebrate its 20th edition on May 11 and 12, 2022. With a multitude of activities related to employability during the previous week. On Wednesday, May 11, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., the staff of the Vice-Rectorate for Research will be at your disposal at the information point, organized in the Red Events Room (Salón de Actos Rojo), where they will answer the questions asked by the participants of the Employment Forum related to the development of the research career and the implementation of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) at the UPV. The Royal Academy of Engineering, with the co-sponsorship of the "Pro Rebus Academiae" Foundation, announces the "Agustín de Betancourt y Molina" and "Juan López de Peñalver" Awards for the year 2022. The "Agustín de Betancourt y Molina" and "Juan López de Peñalver" awards are intended for researchers and professionals in the field of engineering who are under 40 years of age on January 1, 2022 and who maintain links with Spain, where they have developed a significant part of their work. Free Charlesworth webinar for doctoral students and researchers from the Valencian Community

The webinar ”Strategies for Getting Published in High-Impact Journals”, in English, will last approximately one hour and will focus on how to choose the best strategy when publishing in high-impact journals, with the presence of an editor from scientific journals and a researcher.
